Photography is an expression of light, mood and emotion. It's like writing a beautiful love story or writing a love song. I know I've captured some great images when I can feel my own emotions. It's just something I feel.
Photography takes me to another world. It's a world of passion. My inspiration comes from my DNA. It's what I feel, it's what I see. It's my true love, it's in my heart. The inspiration can happen at any moment, at any place. There's a sense of peace being behind my camera. It's taught me to be in the moment. Nothing else exists but what I'm photographing, whether it's people or landscapes or seascapes. Before I put the camera to my eye, I can see the photograph.....I see what I want to capture. Famous photographer Marc Riboud describes photography well. He said, "Photography is savoring life at 1/100th of a second". Annie Liebovitz says "a photographers life is... life looking through a lens".
What makes a good photograph? If it has moved just one person, then that photograph is a success. If the viewer can relate to that photograph, then it's a good photograph.
I'm a passionate, curious, determined, optimistic, persistent, courageous photographer, always striving for excellence.
